Preparation: Tincture of dried beans.
Generals:
Great indolence and sleepiness after dinner (7th day).
Feeling of comfort (immediately).
Mind: She feels very cheerful (1st day).

at noon (5th day). Drawing pains in the head, now here, now
there,
(r. frontal eminence) (after 1½ hour). Feeling of weight in the head,
and sensation as if it was too large (at one end of an hour). Throbbing
headache, with heaviness of the whole head, in the morning after rising (7th
day). The troubles in the head and teeth cease after using vinegar. Heaviness
in the forepart of the head, almost preventing him from lifting
his eyes (after ½ hour ). Tension at a small place on the vertex (1st
day). Several serve dull dartings deep in the vertex
(1st day). Transient, Painful drawing deep in the brain, in the
l. half of the forehead, when lying in bed (2nd day). Weight
in the forehead, on rising after stopping. Pressure in the forehead, now here,
now there, but more on the l. side (7th day). Pressure and throbbing
in vertex (9th day). Fine tearing on the vertex, on the r. side of
the head (after 8 hours). Several pointed stitches in the vertex, and, at the
same time, a painful cutting, like a contraction, in the occiput
(2nd day). The crown of the head, is very painful to touch (first
day). A shock in the vertex, followed by tearing more in the front in the left
parietal bone, and at the same time a painful shooting in the cranial cavity,
which makes him cry out (1st day). Tearing in the right side of the
head, when stooping, ceasing on rising (4th day). A violent tearing,
deep in the head, in a small spot in the right parietal bone (after two hours).
When laughing, deep sticking in the right side of the head (2nd
day). Sharp darting in the right side of the head, followed by tearing in r.
ear, in the evening (6th day). Several sharp darting in the upper
part of the r. parietal bone, through the head, and coming out below the occiput (2nd day). Some sudden severe shootings
in the right side of the head, so that the utters loud cries (second day). Dull
stitch in the left parietal bone. Sharp stitching in the left side of the head
(4th day). Throbbing stitching above and behind in the r. parietal
bone, extending toward the forehead, broken off, often, by learning the head on
the hand (2nd day). When entering the room, throbbing in the both
side of the head, which feels squeezed as in a vice; at the same time
sensitiveness of the hairy scalp; this all soon disappeared after dinner (1st
day). Throbbing pain in the l. side of the head (2nd day). Throbbing
headache in the l. side, as she goes into the room (6th day).
Compressive headache in the occiput, with external
sensitiveness in the morning, after getting up (6th day). Tearing
from the right occiput, through the head, to a
frequently painful tooth in the right lower jaw. Dull stitching, followed by
tension, in the right side of the occiput; it drew
the head backward (7th day). A sharp stitch in the left side of the occiput, and afterwards itching in the same place, ceasing
when scratched. Ulcerative pain in the r. side of the occiput,
the skin is even painful to touch. Extreme sensitiveness and painfulness of the
scalp
to touch (6th day).
Eyes: Dryness and burning in the eyes, in the
evening, when reading (2nd day). Burning in eyes, as if they were to
dry, in the afternoon (3rd day). Violent tearing in the right upper
orbital border (1st day). Three painful tearings,
externally, above r. orbital border (1st day). Violent biting and
sticking in the
r. eyebrow, in the afternoon (7th day). So violent a
trembling in the r. upper lids that the eye waters with it; frequently renewed,
for two hours (7th day). Feeling as of a grain of
sand in the inner canthus of the eye (1st
day). Tension around the lower eyelid; she dares not open it for fear of an
aggravation, which, however, did not occur (1st day).
Tearing and tension in the l. lower eyelid (2nd day). A
Burning shooting in the lower eyelid, like a bee-sting (7th day).
Itching in the inner canthus of the l. eye, which
> rubbing,
but does not remove (after 1½ hour).
Ears: Twisting dartings
in the lobe of the r. ear, so that she starts (1st day). Some
painful tearing around the right ear. Violent tearing behind the r. ear
in the bone (5th day). Tearing in the external auditory meatus, which goes on penetrating more deeply, until it
reaches the internal meatus, where it terminates; It
returns after a short interval (1st day). Painful tearing deep in
the l. ear (1st day). Tearing, followed by titillation, in the l.
ear (7th day).
A couple or sharp dartings in the r. inner
ear, so that she starts (1st day). Painful crawling in the right
ear, which ceases on introducing the finger
(2nd day). Violent itching in the r., the act of scratching
increases it (5th day).
Nose: Violent sneezing, 10x in the night (10th
day). Coryza, with stoppage of the nose, she is
obliged to hold the mouth constantly open, at night;
this ceases in the morning, but returns at noon. Slight tearing in the
root of the nose, with irritation to sneeze, in the evening (1st
day).
Face: Very pale, in striking contrast with red
cheeks (8th day). Feeling as if the mucous membrane of the left
cheek was drawn up (1st day). Tension in the r. malar
bone, with feeling as if there was a slight weight there; pressure removes
this, and it returns, but in a less degree (after 1½ hour). Painful tearing in
the upper jaw, but she cannot tell whether it is in the gum or in the roots of
the teeth. Slight tearing in the right lower jaw, and at the same time tickling
itching in the ends of the teeth, and tearing in the roots of the same; the
pain ceases in the jaw, but not in the teeth on biting on them
(after 2 hours).
Mouth: Bleeding of a hollow tooth of the left lower
jaw, the blood has an acid taste, in the evening (7th day). Some
painful tearings in a hollow tooth of the left lower
jaw, an hour after dinner (1st day). Violent tearing in all the l.
lower teeth, from behind forward, as if they were being pulled out, after
dinner (1st day). Digging and disturbance in the left lower
posterior molar, unchanged by cold and heat; < by the contact of food (6th
day). Several painful tearings in 3 left inferior
molars; she believes they are being pulled out, after dinner (1st
day). A violent tearing in the left lower jaw, in a corresponding molar tooth
(1st day). Tearing in the left upper molars, when laughing. Tearing
from the last left molar to the upper part of the head, in the morning, after
rising (7th day). Tearing in some of the left lower molars, which
cold water causes to cease, in the afternoon (first day). Tearing in the roots
of upper molar; the pain reaches as far as the zygomatic
process, and is followed by crawling in their tips, on closing the jaw it at
first increases, then ceases (2nd day). At dinner, violent tearing
in two lower molars of the left side, < by biting on them, in the forenoon
(1st day). Shooting, which starting from a diseased tooth goes
through the head and the muscles of the r. side of the nape of the neck (1st
day). Tickling in some molars of the r. side, in biting on them, ceasing when
she opens the mouth (1st day). Acrid blood flows from the l. lower
gum, without sucking, in the evening (3rd day). Tearing in the l.
lower gums and in the teeth (7th day). Burning of the palate (after
¾ of an hour). Fine tearing in the back part of the palate (in ½ hour). Flow of
water in the mouth. Mouth constantly full of water, almost all the forenoon.
Acid taste in the morning, after getting up (2nd day).
Throat: Abundant viscid mucus in the throat, which
disappears by frequent hawking (first day). Rawness in the throat, disappearing
after supper
(in ¾ of an hour). Scraping and rawness in the throat, in the morning (1st
and 2nd days). In the r. side of the pharynx, feeling as if a rough,
sharp substance slowly forced itself into the ear, and moved about for some
time deeply in the interior (after 1½ hour).
Stomach: Frequent thirst at all hours of the day (2nd
and 3rd days). Several returns of empty rising from the stomach.
Risings, as after eating bitter almonds (after 5 minutes, and often). Strong
hiccough, immediately after dinner (1st day). Nausea and inclination
to vomit (after ¾ of an hour). In the forenoon, loathing and desire to vomit,
ceasing after dinner (1st day). Pleasant heat in the stomach (after
an hour). Slight whirling, with pinching, first in the epigastrium,
then in the hypogastrium, ceasing on the emission of
flatulence, in the after noon (2nd day). Circumscribed cutting
around the stomach, on both sides, more to the rights, for an hour, in the forenoon
when walking (1st day). A couple of dull shootings in the r. side of
the stomach, as if an intestine was tightened and immediately relaxed,
painfully repeated several times (1st day).
Abdomen: Inflation, at first in the bowels, then also
in the stomach, in the forenoon (2nd day). Frequent loud emission of
flatulence, at night (1st day). Burning tension in the right lower
region of the abdomen, and ext. in the chest to r. shoulder blade, deeply
seated, in the afternoon (1st day). Sensation almost like pinching,
at first to the r., a hand’s breath below the pit of the stomach, then in the
r. side of the abdomen, afterwards in the l. upper side of the abdomen, after
dinner (1st day). Slight pinching in the r. side of the upper
abdomen, extending later to below the umbilicus (2nd day). Pinching
in the upper abdomen, with sensation in the stomach as if a ball was rolling
about there, during the menses. Disagreeable pinching in the bowels, then
urging to stool, and an evacuation, which is larger than usual. Pinching and borborygmi in the bowels, then diarrhoeic stool, with
mucus, followed by tenesmus (8th day).
Pinching and rolling in the bowels, as if a diarrhoea was coming on, but he
passes only two small hard lumps, and with a good deal of pain, after which the
scraping in the anus lasts a long time (6th day). Great soreness of
the bowels after a diarrhoeic stool (8th day). Very painful feeling
in the hypogastrium, in front, beneath the umbilicus,
in the right side, to the extent of more then six inches, as if a thread were
there, and caused smarting and gnawing over one small spot. Burning in the r.
groin, which comes on and goes off while walking (1st day). In the
r. groin a deep sharp shooting, then over large surface a burning outside, in
the after noon (1st day). Sensation in the r. groin
as if the skin of the bowels was retracted, or rather a painful pressure
externally, after dinner (1st day).
Stool: While walking, violent urging to stool.
Urging to stool, yet, not withstanding violent efforts, he passes nothing.
Normal stool, and ½ hour after, very soft stool, with pinching at intervals in
the whole abdomen and tenesmus (8th day).
Hard stool, with pressure (7th, 8th and 9th
days). Stool so solid that she is very tired during defecation and fear
something is ruptured (6th day).
Urinary organs: Increased urination; urging early in the
morning in bed (3rd day). The urine is more sedimentary, normal as
to quantity, tardy in emission, with a thick cloud (5th day). Scanty
urine, depositing an abundant white sediment. Urine of a wine-yellow color, depositing at once a quantity of viscid mucus (5th
day). Red urine; it deposits a thick muddy sediment (6th day).
Respiratory organs: Hoarse voice, with burning in the larynx (1st
day). Transient irritation to cough in the larynx, forenoon (1st
day).
Chest: Burning below the xiphoid
cartilage, and at the same time a fine stinging (after ½ hour). Burning in the
region of the false ribs and cutting pain, which extends over the back, as if a
sharp body was ploughing the skin (2nd day). Rumbling and clucking
in the first false ribs of the l. side, in front of the pit of the stomach, in
the afternoon (2nd day). Sudden burning a hand’s breadth below the
r. armpit, externally (1st day). When leaning towards the
r. side, while sitting, tensive burning in the
region of the l. ribs, a hand’s breadth below the armpit (1st day).
Burning in the region of the r. false ribs,
as if a string had entered the flesh, after dinner (1st day).
Sudden and repeated burning, causing him to start, over the l. lower ribs, as
if a string garment was very tightly tied around them; pressure diminished it a
little, and this place is then slightly sore on pressure (after 1½ hour). Pain,
a sort of cutting and bruised feeling, under the left breast, which passes
thence toward the pit of the stomach and back again several times; >
pressing on the parts, but
afterwards returns (1st day). Sharp stitching deep in the
chest, in one side, below the shootings, like stings, over the middle of the
two first false ribs on the r. side (after ¾ hour). Some sharp stingings in the eighth chest as far as the armpit (2nd
day). Two sharp stingings in the 7th l.
rib, then over a larger surface; at the same time a sort of burning and darting
in the outer chest. Burning stinging in front under the chest when
raising oneself after stooping (1st day).
Back and neck: Wrenching pain in the l. side of the nape of
the neck, less when turning the head, sensitive to pressure (2nd day).
Sharp stinging in the left scapula through the shoulders, in the morning (2nd
day). Pain in the sacrum, which is very sensitive to external pressure (second
day). Violent bruised pain in the sacrum when sitting, ceasing during exercise
(3rd day).
Limbs: A couple of dull shootings in the l. shoulder
(1st day). Paralytic pain in the r. axilla
(after 1 hour). Lancinating tearing in the head of
the left humerus during rest (5th day).
Burning in the r. elbow, ceasing when rubbed (1st day). Sensation of
internal pressure in the l. forearm, in the elbow
(after 1 hour). Tearing in the elbow, at a point above the wrist-joint
and ext. to the latter, short-lasting, but very painful (after 1 hour). Violent
tearing below the condyle of the left elbow, which
ceases when pressed upon, but returns (1st day). Stinging and
tearing in the right arm, directly below the elbow (8th day).
Tearing in the posterior joint of the r. thumb as far as the middle, which
ceases on movement (2nd day). Tearing in the middle of the posterior
phalanx of the right index finger (1st day). Violent tearing in the
extensor tendons of the right middle and ring fingers, during dinner.
After dinner, at 17 h. tearing in the l. hip-joint, ceasing on being rubbed,
when walking; a couple of violent sharp twitchings
deep in the r. hip, when standing (2nd day). Twitching, with fine
stitches, in the middle of the r. thigh on sitting, ceasing on standing up (2nd
day). Violent tearing in the l. thigh, as if in the bone, when standing,
ceasing when standing, ceasing when seated (second day). Violent tearing in the
left thigh and knee, > pressure, in the evening, (1st day). Tearings sometimes in the thigh, sometimes in the knee,
> walking/pressure; all day (6th day). Tearing at first in the l.
knee, as far as the middle of the tibia, then in the middle of the thigh,
toward the hip-joint, relieved a little by pressure (1st day).
Tearing over a hand’s breadth above the l. knee, ext. into the knee-joint (1st
day). Shocks in the knee when walking, so severe that she is threatened with
falling, during the menses; some painful tearings in
the right tibia (1st day). Violent stinging, like the prick of a
needle, repeated six or seven times, in the fatty portion of the r. great toe,
after dinner, when seated (2nd day).
Sleep: Yawning, stretching, dread of work, without
sleepiness.
Fever: Shaking chill, from 14 – 17 h., in the open
air (1st day). Heat in the head, and even external warmth on the
forehead. Increased heat in the head, in the morning (1st day).
Flushes of heat, not disagreeable, from the umbilicus to the stomach (1st
day).
Aggravations:
(Morning), On waking and after getting up, heaviness in head; headache, etc.;
after rising, headache, etc.; after getting up, acid taste; scraping, etc., in
throat; early, in bed, urging to urinate; stinging in left scapula; heat in
head.
(Forenoon), Mouth full of water; loathing, etc.; when walking, cutting
around stomach; shootings in side of stomach; shooting in side of stomach,
etc.; inflation in bowels, etc.; irritation to cough.
(Afternoon), Burning in eyes; biting, etc.;in
eyebrow; itching in left canthus; whirling, etc.; in epigastrium, etc., tension in abdomen; shooting in groin,
etc., rumbling, etc., in side; 14 - 17 h., in open air, shaking chills.
(Evening), tearing in side of head, etc., when reading, dryness, etc. in
the eyes; tearing in root of nose etc., bleeding of teeth; blood from gum;
burning over lower ribs; tearing in thigh, etc. (Night), Emission of
flatulence. (contact of food), Pain in left molar tooth.
(During dinner), Tearing in tendons of fingers.
(After dinner), Tearing in hollow tooth; tearing in lower teeth;
hiccough; sensation below pit of stomach, etc., sensation in the right groin;
burning in region of ribs; 17 h., tearing in hip-joint; when seated, stinging
in great toe. (Leaning to right side while sitting), Burning in region of left
ribs. (Laughing), Sticking in side of head.
(During menses), Pain in upper abdomen, etc. (Rising after stooping),
Heaviness in head; stinging under left chest. (Entering room), Throbbing in

Generals: Lacerating in the limbs, > motion and
pressure. Epileptic paroxysms. Yawning, with stretching and dread of labor, in the afternoon. Drowsiness and great indolence
after dinner. Chill in the open air, afternoon. Sad and apprehensive.
Ill-humored.
Characteristics:
Most of the symptoms come on while sitting, and > rest in general.
Head: Compressive sensation in the occiput, with external sensitiveness. Pressure on the
vertex, with throbbing. Drawing pain (r. frontal eminence). Painful drawing
deep in the brain, when lying. Lacerating in the head, with pressure and
sticking, great ill-humor, painful sensitiveness of
the scalp. Sticking in the vertex, also with contractive cutting in the occiput. Beating headache early after rising, with
heaviness of the head. Ulcerative pain in the right occiput,
with sensitiveness of the skin to the touch. Heat in the head. Sensitiveness of
the scalp to contact.
Eyes: Drawing and tension in the lower lid. Itching
of the inner canthi. Burning and dryness of the eyes.
Ears: Lacerating in the ears. Deeply-penetrating
lacerating in the ears Coryza, with stoppage of the
nose.
Face: Pale complexion, with red cheeks.
Mouth: Frequent thirst.
Teeth: Lacerating in the gums or roots of the teeth.
lacerating in the upper molars. Lacerating in all the lower teeth. Bleeding of
the gums.
Stomach: Cutting around the stomach.
Abdomen: Burning and cutting in the right hypochondrium. The bowels are very sensitive. Burning
tension in the right hypogastrium, and along the
chest. Pinching in both sides
of the abdomen. Pinching in the epigastrium,
with turning in the stomach as of a ball. Burning in the abdomen.
Violent ineffectual urging. Hard stool, with much straining. 1. Pinching
and rumbling in the abdomen, 2. diarrhoeic stool with mucus, 3. tenesmus.
Stool: Hard
Urine: Wine-colored.
Depositing a sediment of viscous mucus.
Female Organs: Menses too early. Discharge of thick mucus
from the vagina, when straining at stool.
Larynx: Burning in the larynx, with hoarseness.
Chest: Stitches deep in the chest. Stinging in the
region of the ribs, succeeded by burning and stinging on a large surface.
Back: Pain in the small of the back, with
sensitiveness to pressure. Violent pain as if bruised, when sitting, going off
during motion.
Limbs: Lacerating in the arm. lacerating from the
knee to the middle of the tibia. Lacerating, at times in the thigh, at others
in the knee, > pressure and walking.

Clinicals: Hip, pains in. Migraine. Neuralgia
of face. Toothache.
Characteristics
*Tongo was proved by Nenning.
Its fragrant seed is much used by perfumers. *Dipteryx
odorata, which yields it, is a native of Cayenne. The
fruit is something like that of
the almond-tree. Curiously in the proving it produced “Risings with
taste of bitter almonds.” The chief uses of Tong. have been in migraine and
neuralgic affections.
Symptoms: <: rest/when seated; >: by movement/pressure;
Relations
*Antidoted by: Vinegar.
Mind: Peevishness and ill-humor.
Dislike to labor and conversation.
Head: confused (occiput),
with drowsiness. Heaviness of head (rising up after stooping). Drawing
headache. Pressure, tearings, and shootings in head
(coming into a room), with tearings on one
side of the face and ill-humor. Shootings in head,
when laughing. Pulsative headache (l.).
The headaches disappear on taking vinegar. Excessive sensibility of
exterior of head.
Eyes: Burning sensation and dryness of eyes, when
reading in evening. Drawing, tension, and quivering in eyelids.
Ears: Tearing in ears.
Nose: Coryza, with
obstruction of nose. Violent sneezing in the night. Slight tearing in root of
nose with irritation of sneeze and cough.
Face: Paleness of complexion, with red cheeks.
Tearing in maxillae. Semi lateral, tearing pains in face.
Teeth: Toothache, with tearing pain (molars), <
pressing upon them; dissipated by the use of vinegar. Acid blood from teeth and
gums.
Mouth: Copious accumulation of water in mouth.
Throat: Roughness and scraping in throat.
Stomach: Risings with taste of bitter almonds.
Abdomen: Burning sensation and cuttings in the
hypochondria, “As if externally”. Movements and pinchings
in abdomen.
Stool: Tenesmus. Hard feces, evacuated with straining. Diarrhoea, followed by
excessive sensibility of abdomen.
Urinary Organs: Scanty urine, with white sediment. Urine has color of white wine, with much slimy sediment. Red urine,
with abundant clay-colored sediment.
Female Organs:.Catamenia premature. Leucorrhoea, when
walking. Discharge of thick mucus from vagina (when making an effort to pass a
stool).
Respiratory Organs: Hoarseness, with burning sensation in larynx.
Chest: Shooting and burning sensation under sides of
the chest.
Back: Pains in loins, with excessive sensibility to
the touch.
Limbs: Tearing in left hip-joint 17 h. > rubbing.
Tearing in l. thigh and knee > pressure. Violent stinging like the prick of
a needle in fatty portion of right great toe after dinner.
Generalities: Tearing in the limbs, > external pressure
and also by movement. The majority of the symptoms manifest themselves when
seated, and during repose. Vinegar > pain.

Useful in neuralgia; pertussis.
Head: Tearing pain in supra-orbital nerve, with
heat and throbbing pain in head and epiphora.
Confused, especially the occiput, with somnolence and
a sort of intoxication. Trembling in right upper lid. Coryza;
nose stopped, must breathe through mouth.
Limbs: Tearing pains in hip-joints, femur, and knee
(l.)
DD.: Melilotus, Anthoxanthum,
Asperula and Tonga contain Coumarin,
the active principle. Trifol; Napth;
