Meine kleine Enkelin findet ein kleines Schildkrötepanzer,
in meine Wohnung.
scheint.
Und tatsächlich es gibt Ruhe im Haus.
[Dr. Gauvon, in Vol. L., of Allg, Horn, Zeitung]
Sensitivity to remedies
H.: Nux-v.
the best remedy to allay the general hyper sensitiveness of patients who always
complain of aggravation of their condition even on receiving very small doses.
Per contra H. recommends a dose of Opium in cases of blunted sensibilities of some
patients to excite their receptivity or responsiveness to the truly indicated
remedy.
[S. Hahnemann]
Where Can the Remedy Be Applied?
It is quite immaterial what sensitive part of the body is touched by the
medicine in order to develop its whole action…immaterial whether the dissolved
medicine enter
the stomach or merely remain in the mouth, or be applied to a wound or
other part deprived skin. …Its introduction into the rectum or application to
the lining membrane
of the nose (sniffing), fulfils every purpose.
It is only the thicker epidermis covering the external surface of the
body that presents some, but not an insurmountable obstacle to the action of
medicines…
They still act through it, though somewhat less powerfully. .. The
epidermis is however thinner on some parts, and consequently the action is
easier in those situations.
Among these are the abdominal region, especially the pit of the stomach,
the inguinal regions and the inner surface of the axilla, the bend of the arm,
the inner surface of
the wrist…are the parts most sensitive to the medicine.
Rubbing in the medicines facilitates their action chiefly on this
account, that the friction of itself renders the skin more sensitive.
[Sameer]
1. Nothing should enter the mouth for 40 minutes prior to, or after
taking the remedy.
2. Do not touch the tablets with your hands, tip them into the cap of
the container they came in and then into the water .
3. Avoid coffee, tea (including green), and other sources of caffeine
such as some fizzy drinks and large amounts of chocolate, except where this would
cause a drastic change in consumption
4. Avoid wearing perfume/aftershave, or exposure to anything with a
strong smell on the day and 3 days following the remedy administration. This
includes any and all essential oils, and incense.
5. Avoid the consumption of excessively spicy foods
6. The use of medicinal herbs, either as 'teas' or supplements should be
avoided during Homoeopathic treatment, as should the use of over the counter
medication, unless this has been recommended by an MD.
7. Nothing of a medicinal nature should be applied to the skin
[Jermey Sherr]
Regarding posology, my thoughts are first of all, don’t worry about it. I
have to be honest; nobody can give a definitive answer. One person will come
and say 10M daily, another will say 12C once, another will say 30C once a week.
We do not have enough research, and it’s unlikely we’ll have enough research to
ever know which is the best.
Each epidemic is different and each epidemic demands experimentation to
find the best potency and the best posology. So what I recommend is once the
epidemic starts,
you start experimenting; give high, give low, give repeated, give
single, and see what is best.
But if you are still worried and you want strict rules about that, then
I would say first of all, the more acute and the more severe and the more toxic
the epidemic, the more
you repeat. You can always stick with 30s and 200s; those are nice,
safe, middle-of-the road potencies.
We actually find that it’s best to give it in water and it’s also the
most efficient. I describe in the course how you can take a 30C or 12C, put it
in a little bottle of water;
give the patient the water and they can continue using that daily. In a
severe epidemic, that would be the best protocol.

Modernen Homöopathen, wie George Vithoulkas, Rajan Sankaran, Jan Scholten, Prafull Vijayakar, Bill Gray, Robin Murphy, Alfons Geukens, Vesalis Ghegas, Massimo Mangilavori, Banerjeea, Anne Schadde, Luc de Schepper, Andre Saine, Eileen Naumann, Jayesh Shah, Jermey Sherr, Tinus Smits, Wolfgang Springer, Alize Timmermann usw. scheinen höhere Potenzen zu bevorzugen.
5. Nahrhafte Mittel wirken besser in niedriger Verdünnung, funktionelle Mittel in hohen Verdünnungen.
Wegen seiner Studenten kamen
hohe Potenzen in England in Mode.
3. Gewisse Mittel wirken besser in bestimmten Potenzen. Z.B. Apoc-c. Sabal. Orni. Hydrcl. Passi. Crat. Adon. Stroph-h. Card-m. Blatt-o. usw. besser als Ø zu wirken.
4. Nosoden scheinen besser in hohen Potenzen zu wirken, z.B. C200 und höher.
5. Was Darmnosoden.; betrifft, gelten bestimmte Regeln.
[Margriet Plouvier-Sluijs]
Homeopathy as a system of cure is based on the law ‘similia similibus
curentur’. At the end of the consultation we choose the right simillimum to
cure the patient.
The second law is about the potency. Following the teachings of
Hahnemann homeopathic remedies are produced by potentising into X/D, C/K and
LM/Q potencies.
At the end of the consultation we define the chosen simillimum in the
right potency. Many people have previously written about how to apply the
potencies.
In aphorism 278 of the Organon, Hahnemann writes: “only based on the
pure experiment, by careful observation about the response of the patient and
with the right
experience you are able to choose the right potency in every special
case.” Hahnemann describes the production and the use of potencies in the
“Organon and Chronic Diseases”. Boericke gives recommendations about the use of
the potency at the end of every remedy picture described in his Materia Medica.
Köhler, Kent and Vithoulkas taught us. Fernand Debats describes how to apply LM
potencies in the Dutch journal Similia Similibus Curentur (SSC September 1996);
and in Homeopathic Links,
Volume 14 Autumn 2001, Gabriel Campuzano Piña has an article about
LM potencies. Ewald Stöteler (Hahnemann Begrijpen)
and Luc de Schepper (Achieving and Maintaining the Simillimum) recommend
the use of LM potencies based on the 6th edition of Hahnemann’s
Organon.
In SSC September 1997 Marguerite Pelt gave her ideas concerning the
application of the potencies. In an article in Homeopathic Links winter 2007
and in SSC December 2009, Frank Beijering describes his way of choosing the
right potency with the use of a mathematical formula; the conclusion in his
article is that the more seriously ill the patient is, the higher the potency
that is needed to cure.
In Homeopathic Links, Volume 16 Autumn 2003, Rajan Sankaran shows us his
ideas about the application of the potency based on seven levels. In The Hague
Alize Timmerman organises triturations and provings of remedies; she discovered
new information in remedies by triturating them to C4 and then potentising C4
into higher potencies. (Hahnemann advised to triturate into C3 and afterwards
to potentise C3 into higher potencies). In his book “The Potency” Joe
Rozencwajg introduced the
Fibonacci Potencies. From the successful applications of the Banerji
protocols and the enormous variety of application of remedies and potencies in
the well-cured cases
of many, many colleagues we learn that we need a deep investigation of
the effect of the potencies.
In Wageningen, The Netherlands, April 1999, during a seminar about
‘realms’ or ‘kingdoms’ in homeopathy Chaim Rosenthal explained how the themes
of the ‘realms’
could also provide ideas about the choice of the potency. According to
his ideas: the word ‘structure’ is related to remedies of the mineral kingdom.
The related potency
to the word structure is 30C/K If in a case the structure is to be
restored: the structure of the mind, the structure of the tissues etc., the
best potency to choose is 30C/K.
The word ‘function’ and ‘grow’ is related to the plant kingdom. The
related potency is 200C/K. If in a case the function is to be restored: the
function of the liver, the generative function, the function of the mind etc.,
200C/K is the best potency to apply. The words motion and emotion are related
to the animal kingdom.
The related potency is 1M. If in a case the emotional reaction is to be
restored, the 1M potency is the best choice. The better explanation would have
been: vegetative nerve system instead of the plant kingdom, and animal nerve
system instead of animal kingdom.
Nevertheless: the core of his idea was right and inspired me. Searching
for the appropriate application of the higher potencies as well, I described in
my book “Aspecten

levels. In the web magazine Interhomeopathy 2008 is a translation of this
chapter of my book. Driven by curiosity, being inspired by colleagues’ questions
and by spontaneous answers of patients
after their cure, I tried again and again to find the words that are
linked to specific potencies. These words can lead us to the best choice.

Case 1 THYROIDINUM 4C and TSH 4CIn Organotherapy 4C is the stimulating potency.
To stimulate the function of the thyroid in hypothyroidism TSH 4C
and Thyroidinum 4C on alternating evenings worked well for a patient,
but after two months she had palpitations and was very hurried. She stopped the
medicines and
the symptoms disappeared.
Enhance
Case 2 TARAXACUM 6XRemedies in 6X and 3C enhance the function of organs.
A patient with fatty degeneration of the liver successfully used Taraxacum 6X daily
to enhance the function of the liver. To enhance the detoxification of the liver
and the kidney we give our patients organotrophic remedies in 3X, 6X and 3C.

Case 3 SYMPHYTUM 6X and CALCAREA PHOSPHORICUM 6XA woman aged 67 visits
me with only one question: can I do some-thing about osteoporosis?
She has a pain in the coccyx extending to both her legs, right < left.
Perspiration on the back and the back of the head. She dislikes milk and never
drinks it.
Four years before we ‘closed’ her file: after a period of struggle she
ended with a divorce. Now she has the feeling that everything is in order and just
this pain and
the worry about the osteoporosis are bothering her. I decide to keep it
simple and describe Symphytum 6X and Calcarea phosphoricum 6X, both for daily
use. Six weeks later: She reports that the pain is gone and she is no longer
concerned about the osteoporosis. She explains that Symphytum is the unknown plant
that showed up in her own garden in May. Wandering in her neighbourhood she notices
Symphytum along the roadsides. About herself she mentioned: “During the last weeks
I combined aspects of my dreams (these are always very vivid!) and snippets of
memory and I remember my grandfather abusing me at the age of two. I looked
back at myself standing at the quay, waiting for my father who came home with
his ship. He was a sailor. I hear myself telling him: “Milou is dead.” At that
time I called myself ‘Milou’. From that time
on a new period in her life started. The ‘Milou’ is back in life and
develops. (Delusion newly born into the world, Delusion neglected, Delusion being
nobody.)
The pain in her coccyx disappears and the osteoporosis isn’t that
painful any more. On her own she stops taking the remedies.
Analysis
Symphytum and Calcarea phosphoricum are recommended when broken bones
fail to heal and there is not enough growth of callus. In youth the growth of bone
is stronger than the decay. When growing old the balance between growth and decay
of bones changes and the decay is stronger, because the osteoclastic cells are more
active. I give Symphytum and Calcarea phosphoricum combined and both once a day
in the case of osteoporosis to activate the osteoblastic cells and to stimulate
the growth of bone. Symphytum 6X has an activating effect on the mind as well: the
patient remembers herself as a little child after some weeks of taking
Symphytum 6X, as if the little child were encouraged to show up. (Symphytum:
Delusion newly born into the world, Delusion neglected, Delusion being nobody.

Push
Case 4 SYMPHYTUM 6X and CALCAREA PHOSPHORICUM 6XA six-year-old child broke
his thigh six weeks before his winter holiday. His mother felt sorry for him
that he couldn’t enjoy skiing. With the use of Calcarea phosphoricum 6X and Symphytum6X
both once a day the thigh healed quickly. During this holiday
he broke his leg again and came home in plaster. This time Calcarea
phosphoricum 6X and Symphytum 6X was helpful again. During the summer holiday
he broke his arm and he had a plaster bandage for the third time. His mother
gave him Calcarea phosphoricum 6X and Symphytum 6X immediately. Unfortunately
the broken bones were badly positioned and he needed an operation. After the
operation the surgeon told his mother that there was an enormous growth of
callus and it was a hard job for him to loosen the broken parts and repair the
bone.
Analysis
In this case the repeated use of Calcarea phosphoricum and Symphytum in
6X led to the growth of too much callus. In young children the growth of bones
is a normal manifestation and normally in children broken bones in the arms
heal quickly. So there was no need to stimulate callus growth. Nevertheless I learned
from this case
the stimulating, pushing activity of 6X potency.

X potency is the decimal potency in some countries written as D

The potencies 1M, 10M etc most of the time are produced as K potencies.
Frequency of the dose
During my study and during the period I have been practising homeopathy
I have learned how to choose the simillimum, the potency and the frequency of
the dose. Boericke offered advice for every remedy about the potency and the
duration of time between doses, and that differs a lot: from six days up to 90
days. Kent and Vithoulkas advise to wait for a long time, warning not to
disturb the
process after the administration of a remedy. In the sixth edition of
the Organon Hahnemann describes the use of LM potencies, which need more
frequent dosage. The Banerji protocols describe
C3-C200 one or more doses a day. I discovered that every teacher of
refresher courses has his/her own system or theory about the frequency of the
dose. During a course years ago a teacher told of a patient who took one dose a
day for two months instead of taking one dose once(!), which was his
prescription; the remedy worked perfectly!
My personal experience
Once during a proving I took a dose of Opium C30 and afterwards I had a
very emotional weekend. Throughout those days I had the tactile sensation of a
child’s sandy hand in my hand. At that moment I thought it was my sister’s
hand. My sister had died many years before; she burned herself to death after a
long-lasting depression. After her death I noticed that I had no emotions and
no feelings at all about accidents caused by fire. I was totally numb. In the
beginning this was just a fact, but later it became a painful lack of senses.
This senselessness wasn’t changed after Opium C200 and higher potencies that I
had used earlier. Neither during the proving did I notice a change. But one
year(!) later for the first time I reacted very emotionally while watching a
programme about the victims of a great fire on television! Some years later I
heard that I was involved in a fire incident when I was two years old. This
information explained to me why I had neither emotions nor feelings about
fires. Another time I heard the history that was related to the tactile sensation
of the sandy hand in mine. This emotionally suppressed event had happened when
I was four years old. In the period of the Opium proving. I participated in
other provings that we organised in a small group of colleagues. I always liked
and still like to learn more about remedies by courses,
by reading books and by provings. Homeopaths may criticise this
behaviour, but I learned a lot:
1. Regardless of other remedies that I took, the Opium C30* worked in
the background; a closure was unlocked by the simillimum in the appropriate
potency and the change went on smoothly. Thanks to my awareness I noticed it!
2. The restoration of senses after Opium C30 unrolled back in time:
first the tactile sensation of a sandy hand in my hand related to the emotionally
suppressed history when
I was four years old; and second, the emotions about the fire that had
happened when I was two.
3. Other remedies that I took during that time didn’t spoil the case.
* At that time I had no idea why Opium C30 had this effect and C200 and
other potencies had not revealed the sensations. After a long learning period I
now understand
the essence of the potencies and I am able to describe this in my book.
While practising I learned from my own experience and from my patients’ records
that for me there
is no strict system for every patient or situation where I should apply
a remedy. Of course I have my system:
• I seldom use low X potencies; I give 6X and 12X once a day, but I am
aware about patients, who are sensitive to proving the remedy!
• I give LM/Q** potencies one dose a day in the beginning, but I advise
the patient to lower the frequency when s/he feels better and confident to do
so. I have seen patients who can lower the frequency after two weeks, but I
also have patients who need to go on for a very long time.
• I give C/K6 and 12 twice a week in the beginning and have a follow up
after four weeks.
• I give C/K potencies 30, 200, 1M etc. in the beginning once a week and
have a follow up after four weeks. Here also I advise the patient to stop when
the change induced by the remedy starts, and then to wait and see what happens.
** I describe the use of these potencies in this book. I don’t move
sequentially up the LM/Q potencies from LM/Q1, LM/Q2, LM/Q3 etc. I always try
to search for the best potency for the patient.
Of course I don’t always succeed in starting with the best potency;
sometimes I have to change to a higher potency, sometimes a lower potency is
better.
Sometimes patients have an unexpected reaction and they contact me. In
my experience an aggravation happens when the given potency is too low. I
advise the patient to make a solution of one dose in water and drink it after
stirring vigorously. When this helps enough I advise them to stop the
repetition of the remedy. It is my experience
that nothing changes in the patient, when the potency that I give is too
high. When nothing is changed between the gift and the follow up and the chosen
remedy is still
the same, I give a lower potency.
I learned a lot from my patients who were stubborn enough to do it their
way and who were honest enough to report their experiences! I also learned a
lot from making ‘mistakes’, but to learn from making mistakes you have to make
them....

Hahnemann writes about a primary action of medicines on our healthy
state and a secondary action resulting in the opposite. One of his examples is
the use of strong
coffee. The primary effect of strong coffee is excessive vivacity;
sluggishness and drowsiness is the secondary effect. In §66 Hahnemann describes
that this antagonistic
effect is not noticed after administration of minute homeopathic doses
of the deranging agents.
R.S., founder of Anthroposophy and Anthroposophic Medicine, discovered
that homeopathic potencies in low X potencies have a stimulating effect. We use
this stimulating influence of low X potencies in organotrophic remedies to
stimulate, for example, the functions of liver or kidneys.

[Luc de Schepper]
There is something you must learn very quickly as a future homeopath—
never enter into any discussion on potencies, for it is one thing on which
homeopaths never agree.
This topic will cause more feathers to fly and engender more ill-will
than any other subject. But there must be a guideline for the student.
Where does he start, who should he believe, what is the safest potency
for his patient? I will outline my own process here, which will be very helpful
to the beginner and
advanced homeopath alike. I was lucky enough to get an early
introduction to the LM potencies. More about that, however, later.
The first thing you need to realize is that there are different schools
in homeopathy. In fact, there are two unicist schools, the Hahnemannian and the
Kentian.
Both schools treat the patient according to homeopathic principles and
can, therefore, be called "classical." There is only one difference.
The Kentians prescribe a high potency
and don't repeat until the clinical picture dictates it, often weeks or
months later. This is based on the 5th edition of the Organon, and
was advocated and well-spread by
Dr. J. Kent of Chicago, a contemporary of Hahnemann. The only problem
with this is that Kent never knew about the 6th edition, since it
appeared after his death in 1916.
Dr. Kent had and still has, an enormous influence on homeopathic
prescribing. So most classical homeopaths, with their high potency prescribing,
are practicing according to the 5th edition, not the 6th.
However, in his last edition (the 6th), Hahnemann rejected "everything"
he had written in the 5th edition and told his followers he had now "found
his most perfect method" or the LM method. In fact, the last 12 years of
his life were dedicated to perfecting this method. In Paragraph 246 of the
Organon.Hahnemann states:
"What I said in the 5th edition of the Organon, in order
to prevent these undesirable reactions of the vital energy, was all that the
experience I then had justified.
But during the last four or five years, however, all these difficulties
are wholly solved by my new and altered but perfected method. The same
carefully selected medicine
may now be given daily and for months, if necessary, in this way, namely
after the lower degree of potency has been used for one or two weeks in the
treatment
of chronic diseases, advance is made in the same way to higher
degrees."
A prime example of a Kentian is the Greek homeopath Vithoulkas.
The Hahnemannians gives one remedy in low potency and repeats it every
day (especially LM). This was totally new for homeopaths practicing according
to the 5th edition.
In the 5th edition, Hahnemann writes "never to repeat
the dose until there is no effect of the remedy left and symptoms are coming
back after initial improvement."
The pure Hahnemannian will repeat if there is improvement, and even if
there is aggravation, although only after adjusting the dose (see further).
Eizayaga, an Argentine-born physician, uses 6C potencies, repeated daily, but,
curiously enough, not the LM methods. In other words, he basically follows the
6th edition, although not entirely.
The nice thing about all of this, is that these schools can all produce
results, because they adhere to the strict homeopathic rules. Please note that
I never discuss giving two different homeopathic remedies at the same time or
the mixtures, which are so popular for the wrong reasons. The latter is not
classical homeopathy; not homeopathy at all.
Kentian homeopathy works best if the symptoms and problems are
functional, Hahnemannian homeopathy works better for the more organic lesion.
It is aimed at the disease: the diabetes, the heart disease, the arthritis,
cancer, etc. So, in general, the more psychic the disturbance, the higher the
potency needed. For organic pathology, prescribe low. For localized problems and
skin eruptions, the potency should be low also.
It is common to find that the indicated remedy in chronic cases will produce
excellent results in one potency but absolutely nothing in another potency.
This leads to an important rule in the practice:
"If a well-chosen remedy fails to work if given in low potency, it
might often succeed if given in high potency." So, if you are sure of your
remedy but it did not alter the clinical picture, before changing the remedy, change
the potency! It will amaze the practitioner and patient alike that the same
remedy in a different potency is able to eradicate all the symptoms. What a
pity it would have been to abandon the remedy and possibly cause an aggravation
of the illness or make it incurable. (More about this
in "Management of the Patient," page 86).
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these different potencies?
Let's start with the Kentian method. For them, high potency starts at 200C,
going to 1M, 10M, etc.
It is easy for the practitioner. He sends the patient home with a single
dose of one remedy or gives it on the spot.
Compliance is 100%, no mistakes are made. He warns the patient about the
most likely aggravations and tells the patient to check back with him in
another month or so.
That means fewer phone calls for the physician. If the patient phones
because Musculoskeletal Diseases and Homeopathy of an aggravation, all he has
to say is,
"I told you so; you have to weather the storm; phone me in one
month ."
However, disadvantages can be numerous. First, there is almost always
present occurrence of an aggravation. "This is excellent," these
homeopaths will say, "because it
shows we selected the right remedy, since it is a similar homeopathic
aggravation, i.e., the existing symptoms occur in a higher intensity."
However, although an immediate aggravation after the administration of the
remedy, frequently occurs, even with low potencies, there is a great difference
in intensity of the aggravation. With high potencies, the aggravation can land
the patient in a hospital (and you could lose your patient forever to
homeopathy), and the aggravation can last for up to a month or more!
With low potencies, this aggravation will rarely surpass two days if the
remedy intake is stopped the moment the aggravation appears. This is especially
true for the hypersensitives.
Kentians show contempt for their patients if they do not individualize,
in other words, if they don't take in to account that patients will react
differently to the same high potency.
This is, after all, one of the basic principles of homeopathy!
And Hahnemann said in Paragraph 2 of the Organon:
The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of
health,...
Unless the practitioner deliberately experienced aggravation (maybe by
doing a proving), he should not send his patients into a storm without
considering the consequences.
There is another problem with Kentians. Because they are so afraid that
this one time, one dose will b e canceled by external circumstances such as
camphor, mint, other medications, coffee etc.,
they absolutely forbid the patient to use any of the above. They are so
rigid in their rules that they unneccesary lose a lot of patients at the onset.
Take a patient with reumatoid arthritis or asthma, for instance. Very often
these people are on high doses of steroids or other medications. Kentians
refuse to treat these patients until they stop all medications. This is often
impossible and if it is, often lands the patient in the hospital with an acute
attack . So much for compassion.
Some Kentians that I know go even further and forbid the patient to take
acupuncture treatments. This is ridiculous as acupuncture uses the same laws,
and the integration
of two powerful, energetic medicines is beneficial to the patient, not
harmful. The intake of concentrated vitamin supplements, although not always
contraindicated, often
can increase the energy of the patient and cover up symptoms that would
otherwise spontaneously develop. Therefore, in constitutional treatment, they
are not recommended, and after a cure they are not needed if the patient is on
a proper diet.
In reality, no matter how paranoid Kentian prescribers are in telling
patients to avoid mint, coffee, and other medications or treatment modalities, these
interfering factors
are rarely severe enough to stop the action of the correct remedy. If
anything interferes with the action of the remedy, it is obvious in its
intensity and, if possible, should be removed.
If patients can't stop drinking coffee immediately, let them take the
remedy after the in take of coffee, not before, as there is much less chance that
the remedy will be canceled.
Low potency prescribing has more advantages than disadvantages. By low
potencies, we mean LM and 6C. Disadvantages are that you have to instruct your
patient thoroughly, preferably giving him written instructions, but even then
patients err in taking doses. Often I have seen the
[Julian Winston]
The Eizayaga Layers Model
Having seen Eizayaga in one of his first USA seminars, I'll share his
thinking with you. It is a fascinating model, and one which I've used to explain
"health and disease"
to allopathically-oriented people.
Eizayaga sees this as a triangle; point down, with divisions running
across the triangle parallel to the base. He had "birth" as the wide
base on top, and "death" as the point
on bottom.
BIRTH
Division 1: The Soil (the terrain).
This is the genetic heritage the person brings into life - disposition
to allergies, and to illness later on. Remedies that affect this level are
Nosodes. Sometimes this level has
to be treated, sometimes not.
Division 2: The Constitutional.
This is what the person is when they are born. These things can't be
changed-- the bone structure, build, color of skin, color of eyes, hair, etc.
There are few remedies that work here. Most babies are fat, sweaty, and like
milk. Most fit Calc. Some which are hot and dry, may
need Sulphur.
Some need Phosphorus. Some need a mix - as seen in Calc-p. Calc-s.
Division 3: The Fundamental.
This is a "layer" that comes in life. The baby cries. The
mother says to herself, "I'm too busy right now, he'll learn to
wait." The baby says, "I cry and she doesn't come. I am
abandoned" - and becomes a clingy, whining Pulsatilla. These
"layers" can build on each other - the loss of a friend in school may
lead to the withdrawal of Nat-m. etc.
So far, NONE of these stages are treatable with conventional medicine.
There is NO disease. Only homeopathy can help restore balance.
Division 4: Lesional (treatable, reversable, curable)
Now the person starts to exhibit physical pathology. At this point conventional
medicine may think it can help. This layer, with homeopathy, can be cured to
the point of the pathology being removed.
Division 5: Lesional (treatable, non-reversable, semi-curable)
In this category we find cases of tuberculosis where damage done to the
lung cannot be reversed, or of alcoholics with severe liver damage. The
process can be treated and cured, but the organic damage cannot be reversed.
The patient's health is compromised.
Division 6: Lesional (non-treatable, non-reversable, palliation)
The physical pathology is too far gone. All homeopathy can offer is
palliation.
DEATH
Eizayaga stressed that the mistake many "Kentians" make is
giving the Fundamental remedy instead of the Lesional remedy. The example he
uses is that of a sweet woman, easily moved to tears, coming with menstrual
problems characterized by a stringy discharge.
If you treat the Fundamental (Pulsatilla) she will feel better, but
the discharge will remain. The Lesion MUST be treated first (Kali-bi),
and then the Fundamental.
The great "miracle cures" happen when the Lesional and
Fundamental ARE the same remedy - then *everything* gets better. But treating
only the Fundamental will not cure the Lesional if they are in need of
different remedies.
So, first cure the Lesional, then the Fundamental. Then, maybe the
*next* underlying Fundamental - until you either get to the Constitutional, or
you run into a block and have to go to the "Terrain" and clear that
up first.

James Tyler Kent]
Get the strong, strange, peculiar symptoms, and then see to it that
there are no generals in the case that oppose or contradict. The great trouble
with keynotes is that they are misused. The keynotes are often characteristic
symptoms; but if the keynotes are taken as final, and the generals do not
conform, then will come the failures.
