Der Rheumafaktor ist ein Immunprotein, ein Bestandteil des Blutserums, welches die gleiche Struktur besitzt und von denselben Körperzellen produziert wird wie die Antikörper gegen die menschlichen ABP-Blutgruppen. Im Gegensatz zu diesen aber richtet der Rheumafaktor seine immunologische Wirksamkeit gegen körpereigene Substanzen seines Trägers und zwar gegen andere Sorten von Immunproteinen. Dieses merkwürdige Verhalten stempelt ihn zu einem Autoantikörper gegen

Gammaglobuline. Chronische Polyarthritis ist demnach eine Autoimmunkrankheit.

Die Kombinationen des Rheumafaktors mit seinem Proteinpartner im Gelenkinnern führt zu massiven arthritischen Erscheinungen. Ähnliche Antikörper werden heute

auch bei zahlreich anderen Krankheiten nachgewiesen, z.B. bei Kollagenosen, Leberleiden oder Leukämien. Die Forschungen über den Rheumafaktor sind nicht

abgeschlossen. Eine der wichtigsten Fragen, nämlich das ,,Warum" seines Auftretens bei der chronischen PoIyarthritis ist noch nicht geklärt. Neueste Befunde schließen

das Mitwirken eines Virus oder Bakteriums nicht aus. Vielleicht spielen auch Schadstoffe aus der Umwelt mit eine Rolle.

One interesting fact that I learned from Anshutze about Lactic acid was in a case of acute arthritic rheumatism. We all know from our knowledge of Materia Medica

that lactic acid is a very good remedy for soft tissue rheumatism as well as rheumatism where articular surfaces are concerned,

but there are certain very useful confirmations that I have made after reading Anshutze’s book, the most important one is the ‘shifting pain Lac-ac.’.

Initially, when I used to read the cases given in Anshutze’s lactic acid Acute arthritis (patients totally bed-ridden and those who cannot move at all, I always wondered that how a simple remedy like lactic acid can make these patients walk and make them normal till I started using it myself.

Always a stomach disorder (Chronic indigestion) and this disorder of stomach is a good concomitant for lactic acid. Usually loves buttermilk and sweets (>).

My experiences with rare remedies in the field of Arthritis and Rheumatism

Angustura vera: first introduced by H. in “Materia Medica Pura” in the year 1817. I used this remedy in the late 70’s.

Homoeopathy, since then I have seen many cases of Angustura where I was able to confirm its characteristic indication in the above field.

The symptoms which I have confirmed repeatedly in this remedy is the stiffness of the joints + restlessness (resembleing Rhus-t.).

A marked weakness and stiffness of fibrous tissues, ligaments, muscles and joints.

Sometimes the stiffness can be felt deep in the bone marrow of long bones. The stiffness can also be + paralysis as the muscles remain constantly in the state of tension.

When the person tries to walk he feels that the limb is almost paralyzed.

Excessive crackling of the joint (Nit-ac./Caps.).

Sometimes stiffness + cramps.

I used it where the person has to exert a lot in an unusual position like a tailor, cobbler, sculptor, artist, labourer who works on heavy machinery, or one who works

on computer for long hours. This is true if one is using stretched arms or stretched legs constantly, and results in severe stiffness of the affected part, in such cases.

Sometimes I found jerking of the muscles and the muscle can go in to excessive twitching. Most of the arthritic pains are worse in cold weather, damp weather, < motion.

Many cases of cervical spondylosis I have treated with this remedy where the guiding symptom < slightest motion of the arm the pain in the nape of the neck.

In general the arthritic pain > cold application and continued motion like Rhus-t.

Close to Nux-v. because the person is oversensitive, irritable and excitable. Sometimes they can be ill-humored and discontented.

What differentiates these two remedies is the cowardice. Angustura is more of a coward, he lacks the tenacity, obstinacy and over bearing self-confidence of Nux-v.

When you observe these patients, they may look quite happy, elated and excited from outside but this is a mask because from inside they have a weak character without

real good power.

In the end I can only say that this weakness or fatigue of the thighs is one of the concomitant which I have repeatedly confirmed in my practice.

There is strong desire for coffee and marked aversion to fatty and rich food.

Stellaria media = another remedy which I have used in my practice; this remedy was introduced late in the 18^th Century near 1896, = Common chick weed.

I have seen that patients who need this remedy develop a very sharp and shooting pain, which is rheumatic in origin and the characteristic symptom is the soreness of

the part to touch and the stiffness of the joint, < warmth of bed and pain < slightest motion, and this is exactly opposite to Angustura which his studied.

The most common parts that affected: the head, the back and the neck and it is more on the right side, except the knee which is l. affected.

Many times the patient who needs this remedy has got << in the morning;

sometimes I have used this remedy in acute phase of chronic rheumatic arthritis.

When you touch and examine the knee joint it will be hot to touch indicating a severe synovitis.

Sometimes I have seen that there can also be arthritic nodosities in the fingers.

Visc.: gouty and rheumatic complaints (tearing). It is also very effective in different neuralgias of a gouty or rheumatic origin, as in ischias, prosopalgia, periostitis, and especially in earache, tearing pains in the ears, and otitis. It is a sovereign remedy in rheumatic deafness.

downward, facial neuralgia, stiffness around eyes and lids, chest pain radiating to left hand/arm. Valvular heart disease. Complements Spigelia.

Led.: Es sind vor allem die kleinen Gelenke – Zehen, Finger, Großzehengrundgelenk, Daumengrundgelenk – von der Gicht betroffen.

Rad-br.: In den Gelenken der Arme und Beine tauchen anfallartig starke Schmerzen auf; beginnender Umbau (Verformung) der Gelenke.

Form.: Es liegt der Befund von Nierensteinen vor. Drückende oder schießende Schmerzen tauchen in großen oder kleinen Gelenken auf.

In einer ganzheitlichen Therapie sind die obengenannten Arzneien hervorragende „Starter“, um das in der Regulationsstarre befindliche Energiesystem in

Bewegung zu bringen. Damit keine homöopathischen „endlosen Geschichten“ entstehen, kann ich nur dringend raten, die zugrunde liegende Nierenthematik

mit in Betracht zu ziehen: Verunsicherung der Lebensumstände.

Stoffwechselstörungen = aus dem Stofflichen wird zu wenig Lebensenergie gewonnen.

Kortison und andere unterdrückende Therapien, verweist auf die Vielgestaltigkeit der Krankheit und die große Zahl klinischer Bilder. Schnell mit dem Etikett „unheilbar krank“ versehen.

Konflikte bei Rheuma.

Es gibt kaum eine chronische Krankheit, die nach meiner Erfahrung so eindrücklich den Zusammenhang zwischen Abwertungskonflikt mit unterdrückter Wut und Gelenkmanifestation offenlegt und Heilung bewirkt, wenn der Konflikt gelöst wird. Ich hatte mehrere Patienten mit einer Lebensgeschichte von 20 bis 26 Jahren

Rheuma in den großen Gelenken. Sie hatten eine Odyssee in der Therapieszene hinter sich und sehr viel Geld investiert. Leider erlebt man solche Patienten in

fatalistischer Stimmung, da angeblich nichts geholfen hat.

Frage: Wie soll in einem Gartenbeet etwas Gesundes wachsen, wenn der Boden nicht die richtigen Nährstoffe erhält, sondern mit allen möglichen Fremdstoffen beladen ist? So ist es auch mit dem Organismus.

Typische Vorläuferkrankheiten sind Anginen, Verdauungsstörungen, Infektionen des Respirationstraktes, der Ohren und Nebenhöhlen, Kehlkopfentzündung und Grippe.

Die Gelenke schwellen ödematös an, sind gerötet und überwärmt, vor allem Knie-, Sprung-, Schulter-, Ellbogen-, Handgelenk, Finger und Zehen. Auch das Iliosakralgelenk kann in Mitleidenschaft gezogen sein. Funktioniert beim Patienten noch das Immunsystem, tritt Fieber auf, Tachykardie und Urinretention sind häufige Begleitsymptome.

Der Körper ist in Aufruhr. Erbsen- bis haselnussgroße harte Knötchen bilden sich unter der Haut und lassen sich verschieben.

Konflikte und die homöopatische Behandlung beispielsweise mit Rhus-t., wenn als Vorläufer des Rheumas Hauterkrankungen unterdrückt wurden

oder mit Bry., wenn als Vorläufer Erkrankungen der oberen Atemwege bestanden, die allopathisch behandelt wurden.

Anstatt nun die tuberkulinen und psorischen Symptome = brennende Schmerzen, Schwitzen, Berührungsempfindlichkeit, Fieber, Ängstlichkeit – mit Bell.

und Sulph. zu behandeln, sollte zuerst die Skrofulose ausgeheilt werden.

Das bedeutet, den Pfad der Symptombehandlung zu verlassen und die Ursache anzugehen. Dazu stehen uns viele verschiedene Arzneien zur Verfügung, die entweder Knochen, Gelenke und

Muskeln im Arzneimittelbild aufweisen wie Sil., Aur-m-n. oder Calc. Oder wir wählen Arzneien, die auf den ersten Blick scheinbar nichts mit den Gelenkproblemen zu tun haben:

Erst wenn dieses vielschichtige Miasma in seinen Latenzzustand bzw. inaktiven Zustand zurückversetzt wird, greifen abschließend zur Therapie notwendige tuberkuline und psorische Mittel wie Acon. Bell. Sulph.
