Lyme disease

1. local skin eruption that grows circumferentially with central clearing, suggestively termed a target rash. Borrelia can be isolated from this eruption, but is disseminated systemically from the moment of initial

infection.

2. highly individually variable, and Lyme disease is known as a great imposter for its ability to mimic many disease conditions. The most common presentations involve inflammation of the large joints and peripheral

nerves.

3. Neurologic and Cardiac complications may follow.

Group Anamnesis

A. heart symptoms + arthralgias/neuralgias (inflammatory rheumatic myocarditis and/or pericarditis)

B. “pace” of Lyme disease = the migratory nature of its arthralgias/neuralgias/rapid change

C. symptoms alternating/periodic

Face: The neuralgias are most typically facial or sciatic:

Throat: sore

Rheumatic pain in the neck + headache

Chest: complaints of the heart after rheuma/pain rheumatic heart/inflamed heart (Endocardium/Pericardium)

Extremities: rheumatic pain in shoulders/hips/knees/joints

Pain wandering/symptomps chanfe rapidly

Arthralgias in shoulders/hips/knees, and may be of acute and/or chronic nature:

inflamed joints (# heart symptomps)/pain rheumatic (acute/chronic)

Lower limbs - sciatica

Back: Cervical region (Rheuma)/ rheumatic pain

Skin: ERysipelas

Generals: inflamed joints/nerves

Neuralgic pain

Allerlei: kann von Mutter auf Fötus übertragen worden

Behandlung: Um unnötige Antibiotika zu vermeiden, ist es möglich die Zecke auf Borreliose und andere Krankheiten untersuchen zu lassen.
